On This, the Fifth Day of November…

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, ’twas his intent
To blow up the King and Parli’ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England’s overthrow;
By God’s providence [or mercy] he was catch’d
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Hulloa boys, Hulloa boys, let the bells ring.
Hulloa boys, hulloa boys, God save the King!

  1. ok no. 1) this does NOT count as your blog for the week. 2) are. 3)You cannot count blogs where you regurgitate information we learned on EHS geography. 4) are. 5) are.

  2. Sorry Lug. I forgot that we learned that in geography… it was so long ago. Wait– it wasn’t so long ago. It was actually less than a year ago. Haha anyway, I thought it was appropriate to commemorate Guy Fawkes Day, and by that I mean I thought it would be suitable to post a poem about November 5th on November 5th. More tomorrow.
